If there is anything we can be proud of, it's our MOH - Ministry of Health or KKM (Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia).
This is one department that has made tremendous improvements through the years in terms of providing quality health services for the people. It is by far the most popular of all government departments because health is one aspect of life nobody can ignore. Other departments have also improved, but this department has made the most significant impact on the lives of average Malaysians.
Every working day, we can witness the long queues and traffic jams near hospitals and clinics throughout the country. Why? It's because of the need for affordable healthcare for the average Malaysian. The KKM hospitals and clinics have become increasingly popular due to rising costs in private hospitals and clinics. The KKM healthcare is the cheapest in the country. It is fully funded and subsidized by the Malaysian government. As the nation moves towards an aging population, this department will need a larger budget allocation to meet the needs of the people in the future.

The number one government app that played a crucial role in the fight against COVID-19 is undoubtedly the MySejahtera app. This app helps to monitor, regulate, and control the vaccination of all citizens. Imagine what would have happened if this app had not been introduced.
Now that the pandemic is over, this app has evolved to become a One-stop center app for healthcare information management by the government for all Malaysians. Without this app, one cannot get to use the health service at our hospitals.

As of today, it remains the most used government app compared to all the others available. This government initiative of using this app has enabled the Malaysian government the oppurtunity to streamline and record the health status of almost all its citizens in the country. This app has enabled the Ministry of Health to digitize records, making it very useful for doctors and healthcare professionals to track and diagnose illnesses of patients.
Example.
If you are sick or involved in an accident in any part of Malaysia and are admitted to the government hospitals or clinics, the doctors can right away access your medical history by going through this app on your handphone. This provides valuable information for them to diagnose and treat you urgently, thus saving lives.

A plan is in the offing to eventually integrate all government apps into one super app (similar to UTC - a one-stop government agency ), a centralized app, called MyGOV which will provide records and provide services such as passports, traffic summonses, JPJ, ( Drivers licenses, motor vehicles registration) Puspakom, Vehicle Testing and certification, PDRM, Police and criminal records. This One Super App will be the One-Stop Center for all government services, replacing a multitude of individual agency apps.
With this, the rakyat do not need to download so many apps anymore. Just like our UTC.( Pusat Transformasi Bandar) A one-stop agency for all government services, this app will perform the same function.

Conclusion.
Most Malaysians ( like me) are in the M40 and B40 Income Category. We are likely to be using this government-subsidized benefit.
As for the rich or those with a company-sponsored Insurance Health Plan, and who have never been to a government hospital or clinic before, you won't be able to appreciate how much such benefits are given by our government. But, to the B40 group, KKM is a lifesaver for them.
Ya. I know. You don't like the long waiting time or the bad reputation that the hospitals have earned in the past. But let me assure you that today our government hospitals and clinics are among the best in the world in terms of service, cost, and facilities.
Truth to be told, MOH is the best healthcare provider for most Malaysians. Kudos, MOH!
