PUTRAJAYA: The MyGOV Malaysia mobile application, introduced to unify the nation's public service ecosystem, has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the public.

Since the launch of its beta version on Feb 27, 2025, MyGOV Malaysia has recorded more than 1 million downloads. This milestone, according to Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, reflects high public confidence in the government’s efforts to improve the quality of public service delivery through a more organised, secure, and user-friendly digital platform.

In a statement today, Gobind said that the mobile application, to date, provides 38 services involving 13 government agencies - ranging from status enquiries to direct links for relevant government functions.

"This integration process is being carried out in continuous phases, with priority given to high-impact and frequently used services, including applications and payments," Gobind said.

"MyGOV Malaysia does not replace existing government apps. Instead, it will continue to monitor usage patterns and public needs before considering any further consolidation of government applications in the future."

He added that in line with ambitions to enhance user experience, the Digital Ministry is exploring the capabilities of Agentic AI to boost service efficiency. This initiative aims to allow the app to function more intelligently and proactively, helping users navigate services more smoothly while reducing digital red tape.

"Simultaneously, the ministry will launch “Citizen Labs” nationwide as an inclusive engagement platform. This approach grants citizens the opportunity to provide direct feedback and participate in the co-creation process, ensuring MyGOV Malaysia remains relevant to current user needs."

Gobind added that the government aspires for MyGOV Malaysia to become a "single gateway" trusted by all levels of society.

"The initiative is viewed not merely as building an app, but as constructing a digital bridge that connects the public with the government regardless of time or location.

"It is hoped that this innovation will act as a catalyst for a faster, more transparent, and inclusive digital work culture, aligned with the goal of establishing Malaysia as a respected digital nation within the region," he added.
