
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasises that Malaysia’s true stability is built on people’s unity and a shared commitment to prosperity amid challenges
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that Malaysia’s genuine stability is founded on the unity of its people.
He said this shared commitment is crucial for building a prosperous and resilient nation facing both domestic and global challenges.
Anwar made these remarks in a Facebook post reflecting on his recent working visit to Sabah.
He described meeting people from all walks of life, including local leaders, civil servants, small traders, and young people.
“The youth are the driving hope for the state and the nation,” he said.
The Prime Minister added that Sabah serves as a reminder of Malaysia’s core strength.
“Sabah reminds us that Malaysia’s strength lies not only in its resources but also in the harmony of its people,” he stated.
He highlighted that this harmony exists within a spirit of consensus and mutual respect.
Anwar also reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s ongoing commitment to fulfilling the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
He said this commitment is for the well-being of all people in the nation.
During his visit, the Prime Minister attended several official events.
These included the opening of the 2026 National Consumer Day Celebration and the Mini Keadilan Convention.
He also officiated the Sabah State-Level Branch Annual General Meeting.
His itinerary concluded with a visit to a Ramadan Bazaar at the University Apartments in Sepanggar.
The trip ended with his attendance at the MADANI Iftar Ceremony with the people of Sabah.
