Kota Kinabalu: Vitafoods Asia 2026 is set to make its biggest showing yet, expanding by 30 per cent as Asia’s leading nutraceutical event continues to grow.
With Malaysia confirmed as the host in Kuala Lumpur in 2027, the expansion signals a major opportunity for the country to strengthen its position in the fast-growing regional health, nutrition and wellness market.
Organised by Informa Markets, the event will take place from Sept 2 to 4 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok, featuring 20,000 square metres of net exhibition space and more than 800 companies.
The event is expected to provide a vital platform for industry players to explore the latest developments in nutraceuticals, functional foods and dietary supplements, while fostering connections among businesses, researchers, product developers, and health and nutrition professionals worldwide.
Malaysia, too, stands to benefit from this global platform. This year’s theme, “Nutraceuticals Trends Across Generations”, focuses on the changing health and nutritional needs of consumers at different stages of life.
The theme highlights four major areas: gut and microbiome health, cognitive and mental wellness, active body and longevity, and personalised and digital nutritional solutions.
Informa Markets event manager Lakkana Chuvichien said Vitafoods Asia 2026 aimed to redefine the future of health and wellness through cutting-edge science, natural ingredients and personalised nutrition technologies.
She added that the expanded event, with greater international participation, would create a global platform for exploring innovative solutions tailored to the unique health needs of different generations, from Baby Boomers to Generation Alpha.
The 2026 edition will also welcome Australia and New Zealand as new country pavilions, further strengthening international representation.
Among the new experiential features is the Sensory Box, which will allow visitors to explore food ingredients through smell, touch and taste, offering a more interactive perspective on product development.
The From Lab to Launch programme will provide R&D professionals with insights into the complete product development journey, from raw ingredients and laboratory research to finished products and clinical trials.
Meanwhile, the Four-Factor Solution Workshop, delivered in partnership with HMT, will help entrepreneurs and businesses understand key success factors in nutrition and health marketing, innovation and branding.
The programme is designed to help participants better align their products and brands with target audiences and markets while avoiding common causes of failure.
Another new feature is the Vitality Vending Machine, organised in collaboration with the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) and Tao Bin, featuring healthy and nutritional beverages for visitors.
The event will also introduce the Thailand Nutraceuticals Award Powered by Vitafoods Asia, recognising excellence and innovation in finished nutraceutical products in Thailand.
Reflecting the expanding scope of the industry, the Pet Nutraceuticals Showcase will highlight the growing market for nutritional and wellness products specifically developed for pets.
The 2026 event is expected to attract thousands of industry professionals, with organisers describing it as the largest Vitafoods Asia edition to date.
