As hostilities between Iran and Israel continue to intensify, the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on all its citizens in Iran to evacuate the country immediately using any safe and available means. The directive comes in response to the escalating conflict, which has now entered its sixth day, marked by ongoing missile exchanges between the two nations.

The Ministry, through the Malaysian Embassy in Tehran, has been actively monitoring the security situation on the ground. Officials confirmed that surveillance and response efforts were ramped up following Israel’s military action against Iran on June 13, which sharply raised tensions in the already fragile region.

In an official statement, the Ministry emphasized that the safety and well-being of Malaysians abroad remains a top priority. It cautioned that the situation in Iran remains unstable and could deteriorate further without warning, urging immediate departure while commercial or other safe travel options are still viable.

Registered Malaysian nationals in Iran have all been contacted and confirmed safe, according to the Embassy. These individuals have been given direct advice and support to make arrangements for their departure. The Embassy continues to maintain close communication with citizens and stands ready to offer consular assistance as needed during the evacuation process.

Authorities have underscored the importance of prompt action, warning that delays in departure may increase risks as conditions on the ground become more unpredictable. The Foreign Ministry has not ruled out the possibility of further developments and has advised Malaysian travelers and expatriates to avoid non-essential travel to the region entirely until the conflict subsides.

This advisory follows a pattern of increased international concern over the escalating hostilities, with multiple countries issuing similar evacuation warnings to their citizens. The current situation reflects a broader regional instability that has raised alarms in diplomatic and security circles worldwide.
