Amad Diallo and Garnacho, the 2 players from Manchester United who showed their middle finger to fans during their trip to Malaysia recently speaks badly on the players and the team.

While a precise number of fans is difficult to determine, the club's recent activities in Malaysia, including the match and the meet-and-greet, indicate a considerable level of support.

Both players disrespected not only the fans but their club, Manchester United with their gesture.

Both are enormously disrespectful not only to their legion of fans in Malaysia but also worldwide.

It is embarrassing that both played for the club.

Their gesture – showing their middle fingers walking past fans in Malaysia – plainly and clearly showed that football is not a beautiful game as propagated by the football teams themselves.

There is no word for the actions of these 2 players other than outrageous.

Indirectly, both players doesn't just stoop a level or two down—they and the lack of response from the team is akin to flinging mud in the faces of those watching the sport they love, tarnishing its name in the media, at home and beyond.

What is more pathetic, showing the middle finger or the losing 1 – 0 to the Asean All-Stars?

For Amad Diallo to barefacedly justify and claim that his action was in response to fans who insulted his family members just smacks of disrespect for the fans who effectively gave the club money to pay his wages.

Both can be disrespectful to each other, but disrespecting the fans and certainly above all, their club showed ultimate disrespect from both.

Probably disrespectful is not the word here.

It is more of their depravity, lack of humility and utterly despicable behaviour.

Both showed a complete and total ignorance of their fans and this country that hosted them.

And both players behaved moronically in front of their overseas fans.

Just like how we acted together and boycott those brands who supported the aggressors in Gaza, let’s make our displeasure known to Manchester United collectively and stop watching their matches or buying their merchandises.

The Red Devils knows that the loyalty of their diehard fans in Malaysia has never wavered and will not wane or waver in the future.

And they knew Malaysian fans would love them no matter what, stick with them through thick or thin, good times, bad times.

Let Manchester United knows that they cannot ignore their fan base in Malaysia or take it for granted.
