MANILA: Swift action by the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) resulted in the rescue of a Malaysian woman kidnapped by a Malaysian at the Ninoy Awuino International Airport (AIA), on Monday.
The victim, identified as Lim Voon Phei, 35, was rescued in an operation jointly by AKG agents and personnel from the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in Pasay City.
The prompt action by the local authorities also saw the arrest of Malaysian Chan Yong Howe, 29, and his Filipino accomplice Justine Alaraz, 28.
