Malaysians among rescued off Tawi-Tawi

Kota Kinabalu: Eight Malaysian crew and two Filipinos were rescued at sea by two passing foreign cargo vessels on the eve of Christmas Day in Tawi-Tawi Province, Philippines.

The rescue teams of Liberia and Panama cargo vessels turned over the victims to the Naval Task Group (NTG)-Tawi-Tawi for proper disposition.

Naval Task Group (NTG)-Tawi-Tawi and Joint Task Force (JTF)-Tawi-Tawi Commander Brig. Gen. Romeo Racadio told Daily Express that the Malaysian and Filipinos were rescued while drifting at sea.
