For sure, in the months ahead leading up to the 16th GE, his political opponents and their cronies or `ceplos’, a term Rafizi has been using a lot of late, will be casting Rafizi Ramli as “just the Formula King with some social media background’.

That, after all, is how he was widely portrayed of late in response to his weekly podcast, YBM.

Malaysian politics has been coloured by the same group of people for the last 50 years. Majority of them will be in their 80s, 90s by the time, the 16th GE that need to he held no later than Feb 2028.

For those who supports Rafizi Ramli’s vision, all of us should volunteer and be his foot soldiers, gathered and help spread the word in evrey pocket, night and day on a daily basis until the 16th GE.

Be the unstoppable force that will knock on every door to erode the cynicism that has come to define politics in this country.

Dear young Malaysians, you can do it.

Pakatan Harapan is in disarray with PKR and a Deputy President that seems to appear when she is in the mood and a President back in combatant mode honed during the days of the demonstration in Baling and DAP enmeshed in politics of their own making.

BN / UMNO seems to have this false feeling and bravado that they have recovered and seems destined to regain their rightful place in Putrajaya.

Only PAS seems to be staying below the radar in controversies and infighting.

Bersatu is clearly decimated and looks unlikely to be able to mount an effective challenge for power in the next GE.

In the 1.5 years since he started his YBM Podcast, Rafizi now ranks as potential elect albeit a low ranking contender as compared to other more established names in the political landscape.

Since his days as the Minister of Economy, Rafizi model himself as a champion for ordinary Malaysians emphasizing on everyday economic hardships and systemic accountability, a fact that probably frighten the political establishment and the political elites and their cronies.

On this alone, young Malaysians should volunteer and support Bersama in its campaign come GE16.

The test on his fledgling platform, Bersama started with the registration of new members joining the party for a small fee of RM20 to be a lifetime party member which Rafizi claimed in his Facebook, 8,000 Malaysians registered as members within 24 hours the day after his announcement.

Are the 12 points agenda from Bersama a populist agenda?

Does young Malaysians identify with the 12 points agenda?

Bet they are.

Because it all centred around the struggles of the daily lives of a majority of Malaysians.

Especially if they are concerned with how the country is moving.

Rafizi and Bersama are not targeting big donations.

From the get go and the rate the subscription was piling up, it is obvious fundraising and grassroots mobilization campaign are 2 key matters which they have nailed down early on.

Hopefully, young Malaysians who supports Rafizi and Bersama will replicate the initial efforts that will then cascade into something wider and bigger in outreach to as many Malaysians as possible.

It will be the young Malaysians who will be driving this.

To make Malaysia an affordable and livable place again.

To put it plainly, a bottom-up insurgency,

A future where politicians will no longer lecture Malaysians about threats to them from other races within the country but listens.

That Malaysians respect each other regardless of their political affiliation, race and religion.

That Malaysians are encouraged to engage more with each other about their own personal experiences and views without judgment.

Every Malaysian, no matter their background – be it a street cleaner or a toilet attendant to a C suite, ethnicity or religious leanings – would be encouraged and allowed to contribute ideas and have ownership of this country.

Social media allowed every Malaysian to participate in what is termed, politics of no translation.

Each and everyone can speak to each other directly about the crises they are facing, with no intermediaries.

They can pull out their phones and see a video right from you.

Many Malaysians presently are tired with the smugness of the present set of politicians, both the ruling and opposition in this country.

Ask those politicians who oppose the Urban Renewal Bill (RUU PSB) that failed to pass through Parliament in 2025 to climb a 5-storey walkup, getting to that top floor, and having a senior open their door for them to get a glimpse into what it is that the occupants in those places faced and live with every single day.
