The year that the PAS President alleged that PAS was offered assistance by the US government to topple the then Malaysian government led by Datuk Seri Najib Razak - PM6 - was in 2014.
According to the President of PAS, the solicitation was made during the visit by President Obama to Malaysia in April 2014.
President Obama visited Malaysia not once but twice during his presidency—first in April 2014 and later in November 2015.
In his 2nd visit to Malaysia, President Obama hosted a Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Town Hall at Taylor’s University and met privately with prominent civil society leaders – including leaders from Bersih and the Bar Council - and in the town hall meet, he called on the next generation of Southeast Asians including Malaysians to avoid dividing themselves along ethnic, racial, or tribal lines, warning that separating people by identity is a precursor to discrimination and demonization, which was "wreaking havoc" in regions like the Middle East.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2014 and 2015 was PM6.
The 2014–2015 Malaysian floods severely affected multiple states, with Kelantan being the hardest hit which displaced over 200,000 Malaysians nationwide and claimed over 20 lives while tens of thousands of citizens were being evacuated, PM6 was photographed teeing off with Obama at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Dec 2014.
Later in 2019, while testifying in his own defence on charges relating to the SRC International case, PM6 told the court that he wanted to establish a personal relationship with the most powerful man on Earth and he had the opportunity and to be in the same golf buggy with the US president is good for the country's interest.
Around the same time, Kelantan was inundated by the worst flooding in decades.
And PM6 told the Courts that he waited until after the golf session to make arrangements that necessitated him taking a commercial flight to Los Angeles before taking another flight to Hong Kong and finally boarding a Royal Malaysian Airforce plane to fly directly to Kelantan.
It was shocking for Malaysians to now learn that while PM6 was trying to build a personal relationship with the President of the US, at the same behind his back, the US government was actively manouvering trying to unseat PM6 as the leader of this nation.
Where are all those Malaysians, Khairy Jamaluddin and Dr Akmal Salleh?
In Dec 2017, as the then-UMNO Youth chief, Khairy Jamaluddin led a massive crowd of over 1,000 protesters to the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur following Friday prayers.
The demonstration was organized to protest against U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to formally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
While in June 2023, Dr. Akmal Saleh mobilized a march to the U.S. Embassy protesting the controversial, insulting comedic remarks made by New York-based stand-up comedian regarding Malaysia and the disappearance of flight MH370.
In Oct 2025, again, Dr Akmal also publicly threatened nationwide protests against the U.S. embassy ahead of an ASEAN summit visit if detained Malaysian humanitarian activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla were not released.
Malaysians are waiting for both of you to act on this claim by the President of PAS.
Both of you can’t play deaf mute and blind.
The soverignty of this nation is being threatened.
And the person that they want to remove was the then President of UMNO, where both of you are a member and the then Prime Minister of the country, who was democratically elected by the people of Malaysia.
