MANILA: Three Malaysians and 40 Indonesians were rescued by anti-gambling police in Paranaque, on Saturday.

The police operation organised by enforcement personnel of Southern Police District rescued the victims while they were allegedly detained inside a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) site in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

SPD Director Police Brig. Gen, Kirby Kraft said cops raided the 5th floor of the PITX building at around 5.30am when they found them.

The anti-trafficking operation also resulted in the arrest of six foreigners — two Chinese nationals, three Indonesians and one Malaysian.
