Kota Kinabalu: Some 300 Mamak restaurants in Sabah are calling on the newly-formed Unity Government to seriously look into exorbitant monthly subscription commercial rate of Astro which is burdening their financial business operations.

Sabah Indian Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Nasir bin Yusof said they are paying double the previous rate set before the Covid-19 pandemic which is affecting their profit margin.

While congratulating the formation of a new Federal Cabinet, he said the new government via Digital Communication Ministry should monitor and regulate the subscription rates by Astro.
