Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, addressed his rap career past before dropping some bars on the We Outside by Sidetalk podcast about his recent efforts to tackle the city’s potholes.
Mamdani laughed at an old music video from his rap alter ego, Young Cardamom, which featured his friend, now one of the “Top 5 dentist in New York city,” before laying down some bars about potholes.
The new mayor marked 100 days in office last week by announcing his administration had filled over 100,000 potholes in the city as well as securing $1.2bn (£891m) for childcare.
