Man, 31, accused of assisting Russian intelligence services

  • Joshua Cammidge, 31, has been charged with National Security Act offences following a Counter Terrorism Policing London investigation.
  • He is accused of assisting Russian intelligence services through alleged contact with a representative of the GRU Volunteer Corps.
  • Cammidge was arrested by officers at an address in Swindon on Friday, 4 September, before being formally charged.
  • The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed there is sufficient evidence and public interest to prosecute the case.
  • He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 10 September.
