Stabbed in the eye with glass shard over vape device

According to China Press, the victim’s older brother said his younger sibling was hired by the suspect as a private driver to take him from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru three days prior to the attack.

When they arrived, the suspect went to an entertainment outlet and the victim tagged along as part of his job.

The victim’s brother alleged that the suspect was under the influence of drugs and that a friend of his accused the victim of stealing a vape device.

The suspect’s friend then ordered the suspect to squat under the table to look for the vape device. When the latter did so, he got assaulted.

“He tried to defend himself as the suspect attempted to stab his neck and face while repeatedly threatening to kill him and our family,” said the victim’s brother.

The victim also suffered a severed tendon in his thumb due to the attack.
