KINABATANGAN: A man and a woman were killed when the Proton Saga FLX they were travelling in collided with a Toyota Hilux along Jalan Tongod in Kampung Kiandungo, near here, on Friday night.
Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Nurul Azlan Shah Jamalludin said the victims, a 27-year-old man named Pang Yen Mee and a woman named Debora Batandung, 54, died at the scene.
He said they received an emergency call via MERS999 at 7.36pm and rushed a team to the scene.
The two victims were extricated from the Saga but died due to serious injuries, he said, adding that the five victims in the Toyota vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
