A MAN has been arrested after a hazardous driving spree in which he drove a Mitsubishi Fuso lorry against traffic for approximately 150 kilometres from the Bukit Beruntung Toll to the Sungai Buloh Toll early this morning.
Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ibrahim Husin, said the incident occurred at 5.35am when the driver refused to stop his vehicle for a routine inspection. “
“The lorry driver then entered the North-South Expressway via the Bukit Beruntung Toll, driving against the flow of traffic up to the Sungai Buloh Toll before returning along the same route.
“He also drove dangerously and attempted to ram police patrol vehicles when they tried to intercept him near Bukit Beruntung,” he said.
The suspect was eventually apprehended at Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung, and the lorry was seized.
Checks revealed that he has two previous drug convictions, one criminal record, and tested positive for methamphetamine.
“He will be brought to Kuala Kubu Bharu Court at 9am tomorrow for a remand application. The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code, Section 186 of the Penal Code, and Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” Superintendent Ibrahim added. - November 30, 2025
