A man suspected of being under drug influence crashes SUV into five vehicles along Jalan Sepadu, Klang, with no injuries reported.

SHAH ALAM: A man, believed to be under the influence of drugs, driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) damaged five vehicles along Jalan Sepadu, Klang near here when he crashed into them this morning.

North Klang district police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said the man, in his 30s, was driving from Rantau Panjang heading to Bandar Sultan Suleiman when he entered the opposite lane and hit several vehicles, including a food truck, along the shoulder of the road.

“No one was injured and all parties showed up to lodge police reports. The driver of the SUV tested positive for drugs,” he said in a statement today, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act and Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He also urged those with information to contact the nearest police station or North Klang Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division investigating officer, Insp Surihan binti Samsudin at 013-2082327.
