Kota Kinabalu: A 48-year-old man was charged with raping his stepdaughter.
The man pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus, after the charge was read out to him on Friday.
The man is accused of raping the 15 years and six months old girl at 7.40am on Sept 23, 2022 at the hill area in Pitas.
The prosecution asked for another mention date and objected to bail for the man as he is currently serving sentence for another case.
The court set March 2 this year for pre-trial case management and ordered the man to be remanded further pending the date.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Mas Izzaty Lokman appeared for the prosecution while the man was not represented.
