Manchester City ace Bernardo Silva is ready to shelve plans to move to Barcelona.
The Portugal midfielder has been angling for a switch to Barca this summer.
The Catalans are also keen on signing Bernardo, where coach Xavi prefers the playmaker over his Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
However, the Athletic says he will now focus on playing at the Etihad after yet another summer linking him with a move to the Catalan giants, with City's valuation deterring any Barca interest.
Key to making the move happen would be Barca successfully moving on De Jong first, which has proved to be difficult this summer, in the hope they could raise enough funds to bring Bernardo to the Camp Nou.
