Manchester City ace Phil Foden admitted that the 2023/24 season was his best so far.

The attacking midfielder came into his own for Pep Guardiola's team, becoming one of their most important creative and goal scoring talents.

Foden won the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers' Association Men's Footballer of the Year with the Premier League champions.

I believe it's been my best season," he told club media, after scoring 27 goals and managing 12 assists in 53 games.

I think I've helped the team in important games by scoring important goals and I'm happy with how the season has gone.

I want to say thank you, I couldn't do it without my team-mates and the fans who voted for me as well.

I'm really happy with the season I've had and I wasn't to continue now putting in performances like I've been doing.

Moving into the centre has helped my game come on loads, I can get on the ball and influence it more.

Some of that I've enjoyed a lot and that's where I see myself, hopefully in the future, playing there more."
