Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says his players owe the fans a 100 per cent performance every week.
Guardiola was speaking after their 4-1 win at Bournemouth.
He stated: "The players will be in trouble if they don't.
"When fans travel five or six hours by car, buy a ticket, with our salaries we have to run, whether it's 3-0, 4-0 or 5-0.
"I sound like a demagogue, but it's the truth. You can play well or badly, but as long as I'm here, this team's effort will never be called into question."
