Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola explained going with Oscar Bobb for their FA Cup win at Tottenham on Friday.
Bobb started with Kevin de Bruyne and Jack Grealish on the bench.
Guardiola said: "We try to be ourselves.
"Of course, we analyse, but mostly we try play with what we have to do.
"It's always a tough decision [to choose the team]. No [not a reward for Oscar Bobb].
"We could have played another player, but with the small spaces they allow us to play, we needed someone who can move and play in the small spaces and, in there, Oscar is really good."
