
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was delighted with John Stones' performance in victory over Leicester City.
Stones, with a superb opener, and an Erling Haaland double had City 3-0 ahead before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for the visitors.
The England international reverted back to his more familiar centre-back position after impressing in a hybrid role combining right-back and midfield duties in recent games.
Asked about his performance, Guardiola said: Today he played as a defender. He played with three in the back, with Kyle (Walker) wide on the right."
He is intelligent, a top class player who can play in many positions."
