Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is confident that Erling Haaland will have a great second season in England.

The Norway striker enjoyed a scintillating debut campaign, scoring 52 goals in all competitions as City won the treble.

Guardiola, who spoke after his side lost the Community Shield to Arsenal on penalties on Sunday, has full faith that Haaland will be as menacing the second time around.

"He's a winner, he has a good mentality," said Guardiola.

"He needs minutes and rhythm. He is so tall and big, moving his body is completely different from Bernardo [Silva] or Phil [Foden] or the other players.

Today he played 60-65 minutes and I'm pretty sure against Burnley he will be in better condition."
