Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was pleased with a landmark goal in victory over Brighton.

Guardiola spoke of his pride at seeing City smash through the 600 barrier for Premier League goals during his tenure.

Erling Haaland's second made it 600 in the top-flight and then Kevin De Bruyne's decisive strike ensured 601 for the boss.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Guardiola said: “We have scored a lot of goals in this time.

"It's a good milestone for all of us.

"Compliments to the Club and the quality of the players.

"We have outstanding players otherwise you could not score 600 goals.

"Now we move forward."
