Manchester City youth coach Brian Barry-Murphy was pleased with his team yesterday.
The Citizens had an even more youthful team than usual in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.
City fought back to claim a 2-2 draw at Red Star Belgrade, with Barry-Murphy stating post-game:
I thought that there was good energy throughout and that we chased the game really well.
We created a lot of chances and that was good practice for what we could likely face in the knockout stages.
There were a lot of changes so it can be hard as we had a good rhythm and you are looking to players to step up and call competition for places
There were lots of good learning points for our defenders."
