City are in the market for a new left-back after being outbid from Chelsea for former Brighton fullback Marc Cucurella.
The Telegraph says City are turning to Lodi.
The defender is entering his fourth season with Atletico, though has never managed to nail down a regular place.
Lodi is happy in Madrid, but is open to moving abroad for the right offer.
