Manchester City hero Darius Vassell believes the players will be raring to go at the weekend.
The former striker is delighted at the success that City have enjoyed in recent years.
Speaking about them taking on Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, Vassell believes there will be a great atmosphere.
"Players feed off that energy," the former City striker told club media.
"If we're at home you're thinking we're bound to score some goals and create some chances.
"If you're a forward, it's an opportunity to get on the scoresheet. You've got players in positive spirits before the manager has even said anything.
"They still have to do the hard work and be professional and I back them to do that this weekend."
