Manchester City midfielder Rodri feels he's the best in his position in the world.
Rodri also admits he has his eyes on the Ballon d'Or.
He told France Football: I'll be honest: you have to think you're the best. Or at least think you want to be. It's all about trust. With this instilled mentality you have a chance of becoming the best, or at least the best version of yourself.
We all dream about it (the Ballon d'Or). It would be an incredible achievement. But I also know that some legendary midfielders haven't made it. I would love for a defensive midfielder like me to win it, it would mean a lot.
"It would mean a lot to the winner, but also to the young people who want to play in that position and know that they can be recognised in a different way to the player who scores or does something brilliant. For football, it would be an interesting sign.
"But I'm already enjoying my ranking. Imagine, I can say that I am the fifth best player in the world."
