But it's now emerged City have made a move for the former Manchester United trialist.
Attacking midfielder Borys is rated the best young talent to emerge in Poland in some years. He made his Slask Wroclaw debut at 15.
City Football Group are now in talks about signing Borys before loaning to one of City's satellite clubs to maintain his progress.
A fee of 1-2m has been mooted for the youngster.
