Manchester City have handed Josko Gvardiol a long-time shirt number.
The 90m signing arrived from RB Leipzig on Saturday.
And he will wear the No24 shirt for the new season.
The shirt has been vacant for the past five seasons but has been worn by notable City players in the past including John Stones in his first season before switching to No. 5, Patrick Vieira and Nedum Onuoha.
