The Telegraph says player sales amounting to around £200m are being planned.
Gabriel Jesus is the likeliest senior player to leave, at a cost of £45m. Raheem Sterling is another potential departure from the Etihad this summer.
Sterling enjoyed a mixed season, at times struggling to break into Pep Guardiola's starting XI and as such could seek an opportunity elsewhere. He would fetch a price of £60m.
Elsewhere, Venezuela midfielder Yangel Herrera and winger Morgan Rogers, an England u20 player could together raise around £20m.
Both players spent last season on loan away from the club, at Espanyol and Bournemouth, respectively.
Southampton, meanwhile, are reportedly looking to sign Manchester City's highly rated young goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu will cost them around £15m.
In addition to those names, Pedro Porro, the Spain right back, has joined Sporting CP for around £7m.
And there was also the January sale of Ferran Torres to Barcelona for £55m.
