Manchester City are looking to expand the Etihad Stadium's capacity in the coming years.

The Premier League champions want to ensure their ground is able to generate them greater income in the future.

According to the Daily Mail, City are looking to add an extra 5,000 seats to bring their capacity to 60,000 from the current 55,000.

If the plan goes ahead and is a success, they would have the third-biggest stadium in English club football.

Liverpool are another Premier League side looking to add seats to their stadium in the coming years as well.

Manchester United currently have the Premier League stadium with the greatest capacity, while Wembley is England's biggest football stadium.
