Manchester City signing Erling Haaland is keen to rent former the mansion of former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Haaland played for Solskjaer at Molde, but faces competition from departing Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

De Jong is on track to sign for United in the coming days.

The Mirror says they have both got their eyes on living in ex-Red Devils manager Solskjaer's £3.5million Manchester eco pad.

Haaland thought he had already got his foot in the door first after his move was announced at the start of the summer.

But now reports suggest De Jong's team have also contacted the former United gaffer as he considers a switch to Old Trafford.
