New Manchester City signing Matheus Nunes admits he was overjoyed by previous praise he received from his new manager.
City boss Pep Guardiola had once talked up Nunes as one of the best players in the world.
Having signed from Wolves on deadline day, Nunes said that he tried to not get too carried away at the time.
The game we had against City was not very good because we lost 5-0 when I was playing with Sporting," he told club media after signing.
