Manchester City ace Julian Alvarez was pleased for his side after the battling victory over Fulham in the Premier League.
The Citizens were made to work hard for three points at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
An early penalty from Erling Haaland was canceled out through Carlos Vinicius, but Alvarez stepped up to net the winner for his team in a 2-1 scoreline.
Post-game, he told club media: "We knew it would be tough today and a real battle, so we're really happy to be able to get the three points.
"That's what we wanted right from the off. We've had some really important games recently, now it's on us to keep on working.
"We've been winning a lot of games in a row. We can't dwell on what we've done in the past.
"It's time to focus on the games coming up."
