Manchester City striker Erling Haaland admits Dad Alf-Inge was in contact after last week's Community Shield defeat to Liverpool.
Haaland missed a major chance during the loss.
He recalled, "After the Community Shield, my father sent me a message. He wrote: 'Why didn't you score?'
"I myself have played against Liverpool at Anfield before, when I played in Salzburg.
"My father then wrote: 'For information, I have scored at Anfield, so I have scored more goals at Anfield than you have'."
