Manchester City are hoping to secure the world-record transfer for Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
The Citizens want to boost their treble winning defense even further by signing the Croatian.
Per Sport Bild, City have put in a new bid of 85 million including add-ons to secure Gvardiol.
The Citizens are likely to sell Aymeric Laporte when they secure Gvardiol, as the former wants to leave.
If they are able to secure his signature, they would eclipse the world record fee for a defender.
The record is currently held by Manchester United for the fee they paid Leicester City to secure Harry Maguire in 2019.
