Kota Kinabalu: A 32-year-old man claimed trial in the Sessions Court here to four counts of sexual physical harassment involving his two daughters.
He pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judges Amir Shah Amir Hassan and Hurman Hussain to all charges.
The first and second charges were read before Amir Shah, while the third and fourth charges were heard before Hurman.
According to the charge sheets, he allegedly committed the offences against his daughters, aged 13 and 12, by touching their private parts and breasts at about 4pm in a condominium unit here on Dec 26, 2025.
The offence under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping upon conviction, with additional punishment under Section 16 due to the familial relationship, while both courts fixed June 16 for mention and denied bail following prosecution objections citing risk of witness interference.
