
Kota Kinabalu: A 44-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here with cheating a man over the rental of an apartment.
Wong Vun Kong pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Marilyn Kelvin to cheating Arbah Tuin into believing that he was the owner of a unit at Beverly Hills Apartment which he claimed was available for rent.
AdvertisementWong allegedly fraudulently induced Arbah to transfer RM1,275 into his BSN Bank account, the charge stated.
The offence allegedly took place on Jan 31, 2023, at a unit at Phase 2 of Beverly Hills Apartment, in Penampang.
