
Kota Kinabalu: A 57-year-old man claimed trial to causing hurt to his wife with an aluminium rod.
Junih Goilis made the plea before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan when his case was brought up for mention on Thursday.
The court set Oct 7 for further mention and was ordered remanded further pending the date.
Junih is accused of assaulting his wife Diana Murin, 52, by using the aluminium rod at 9.20pm on June 22 at a house in Kg Babagon, Penampang.

During the proceedings, the prosecution asked for a new mention date and offered no bail.
Junih, who was not represented, asked for bail to be granted and claimed that his wife had lodged a police report to withdraw the report against him.
