
Kota Kinabalu: A man charged with robbing a woman of her handphone pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court, Thursday.
Jusry Omasya is accused of robbing Asnoliah Jonol of her Iphone 13 as well as causing hurt to her.
Jusry allegedly committed the offence at 11.10am on Sept 3 in front of the Wisma Kebudayaan, here.
The offence under Section 392 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of 14 years and whipping, on conviction.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Jessica Ombou Kakayun appeared for the prosecution while Jusry was not represented.
Meanwhile, two illegal immigrants were jailed four months each for entering the State illegally.
Benjamin Abdullah and Akin Adol admitted separately before Sessions Court Judge Azreena Aziz.
They were arrested on July 5 and Sept 3 in the city area, respectively, after failing to produce their identification documents to the police.
After completing the jail term, they were ordered referred to the Immigration Department for their biometrics data to be recorded before deportation.
