Man dies after being hit by bus at Dublin Airport

A man in his 60s has died after being struck by a bus at Dublin Airport.

Emergency services responded to the incident shortly after midnight into Thursday.

Gardai said they are appealing for witnesses to the collision between the pedestrian and bus on the Corballis Road.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The coroner has been notified and his body was taken to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

The scene was preserved for technical examination and a partial road closure is in place at the main access route into Dublin Airport, with local diversions in place.

Motorists travelling to Dublin Airport were advised to allow extra time for their journey.
