
KUALA LUMPUR — A man believed to be in his 40s died this evening after falling onto the Light Rail Transit (LRT) tracks at the Pusat Bandar Puchong station.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 6.05pm, local media reported.
“A team from the Subang Jaya fire station was dispatched to the scene. The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was found unconscious beneath the LRT tracks and is presumed to have died.
“Rescue personnel are currently working to recover the body,” he said.
The cause of the incident and the identity of the victim are still under investigation.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, the operator of the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line, confirmed the incident and said rescue teams were immediately deployed to the site.
As part of its emergency response, alternative travel arrangements were activated. Trains from Putra Heights are now turning back at Puchong Perdana, while services from Sentul Timur are reversing at Kinrara BK5.
A free shuttle bus service is operating between the Puchong Perdana and Kinrara BK5 stations to support affected commuters. - June 3, 2025
