SANDAKAN: A man died after a plywood cabinet fell over him while unloading furniture from a lorry at Mile 17, Labuk Road, here, Sunday morning.

At about 5.30am, the lorry driver lost control of the three-tonne lorry, causing it to skid and overturn. However, the driver and passenger were reported safe.

The driver informed his employer of the incident, and two co-workers arrived to help unload the goods onto another truck.

The victim, who was one of the co-workers, was trapped before being extracted by the public before the arrival of the fire department personnel.
