BELURAN: A man was confirmed dead and five others injured in a road accident involving a Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Unser on Jalan Telisai Sapi Nangoh, Beluran, on Wednesday.
Beluran Fire and Rescue Chief, PPgB Edoen Macheal, said emergency services received the call at 12:57 pm and a fire engine was dispatched to the scene, about 45 kilometers away.
Four occupants of the Hilux – two adults and two children – sustained minor injuries and were reported in stable condition.
Two people were in the Unser, including an adult man and woman.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health Malaysia medical team and the body was handed over to police for further action.
The woman was injured and transported to Beluran Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
