KUALA PENYU: Primus Raimin, 22, a Kadazan from Kampung Sualok Telupid, died in an accident at Kg Sinapokan, KM45 Beaufort-Menumbok road, Wednesday.
District Police Chief Yussof Zaki Yaacob confirmed the incident on Thursday and said it occurred at 5pm.
The man, riding his Yamaha YZF-R15 motorcycle, lost control and plunged into the concrete drain.
The private sector staff suffered severe injuries to his head and was pronounced dead on scene.
“Preliminary investigation at the site of the incident showed that the victim lost control and rode through the divider before plunging into the drain at the right side of the road, Yusoff Zaki said.
There was no criminal elements involved but investigation was being carried out, he said.
