
KINABATANGAN: A 42-year-old man drowned while fishing in the lake near Estate Melewar, Kampung Paris 3, here, Sunday.
The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 12.15pm, and three personnel were sent to the scene.
"According to the caller, the victim was fishing in the lake with his friends," said the Department.
The victim was said to have jumped into the lake to release the stuck fishing line before experiencing muscle cramps and drowning.
