KOTA KINABALU: A 43-year-old man died after being electrocuted while catching crabs in Kampung Likas here on Thursday.
The Fire and Rescue Department was alerted about the incident at 10.45pm, and firefighters arrived at the scene seven minutes later.
AdvertisementSabah Electricity disconnected the power supply, allowing firefighters to move the victim to safety, but he was pronounced dead by medical officers at the scene.
The victim’s body was handed over to the police after the area was confirmed safe, and operations concluded at 12.50am.
